Dan Krauth
General Assignment Reporter
Dan Krauth joined the FOX 17 News staff as a General Assignment Reporter and fill-in Anchor in January of 2005. He grew up in a suburb of Detroit and graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with degrees in both Communications and English.
Prior to joining the FOX 17 team, Dan produced a two hour weekday morning show in Rockford Illinois for WREX-TV. Following that he worked as a weekend anchor and reporter for WISE/WPTA-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In May of 2006, Dan received an Emmy Award for his work on a series of pieces uncovering the neighborhood gang problem in Grand Rapids.
In April of 2004, he was awarded 1st place for "Best General News Report" by the Associated Press.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys being an active member of the University of Michigan Alumni Club, rollerblading, and visiting his friends and family scattered across the country.
