Update: Tips Come In For Abused Kitten
December 31, 2007

GRAND RAPIDS — Tips are starting to come in regarding an abused kitten.

The Humane Society of Kent County is trying to find out who cut off it's ears.

FOX 17 NEWS first introduced little Eeyore, Friday night.

The kitten was found near M-37 and Peach Ridge a few weeks ago.

The Humane Society said they received an anonymous tip Monday afternoon.

They passed it on to Kent County Animal Control.

A local couple has set up a reward fund to find the person responsible.

As for little Eeyore, a volunteer at the center plans to adopt her when she fully recovers.

Also, The Humane Society is asking people who have been touched by the kitten's story and want to help do so by making a donation to the Humane Society's Buddy Fund that benefits severely injured or sick animals.

There are also plenty of other animals to adopt that need a good home like Eeyore found.
