Michigan Gas Prices At Another All-Time High: $3.84 A Gallon

DETROIT (AP) — AAA Michigan says gas prices are 19 cents higher than last week, with a statewide average of $3.84 per gallon.

It surpasses the previous record of $3.65 a gallon set a week ago and is the fourth record high in as many weeks.

The auto club says Monday the average is 60 cents higher than last year at this time.

Of the cities AAA Michigan surveyed, the cheapest price is in the Lansing and East Lansing area, where a gallon costs $3.81. The highest average can be found in the Traverse City area at $3.89 per gallon.

Drivers in the Detroit area are paying $3.82 a gallon.

The statewide average for biodiesel is $4.41 and $3.32 for ethanol.

AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
