"Prison Break" star Dominic Purcell is breaking free from the chains of matrimony.
The Australian actor and his wife Rebecca Williamson have separated, reports People.
"The separation is completely amicable and they remain friends," says his rep.
In 2000, Purcell won a green card lottery and moved to the U.S. to pursue his acting career. He and Williamson have four children together: Joseph, Audrey and twins Lily and Augustus.
Purcell, 37, is best known as protagonist Lincoln Burrows on FOX's "Prison Break." His other credits include "John Doe" and "North Shore." On the big screen, he's appeared in "Mission: Impossible II," "Blade: Trinity" and "Primeval."
