Children are Naturally Curious
Children love to explore new things. That's why it's important to childproof your home.
Household Safety
Always keep safety caps on medicines and chemicals and be sure to store in locked cabinets that are out of the child's reach. Never leave your child alone near a bathtub, pail of water or swimming pool, even for a moment.
Car Seat Safety
Correctly use car seats and booster seats every time your child is in a car.
Head Injury Guidelines
Apply direct pressure and ice to the area when there is bleeding or swelling. Check the pupils of the eyes to make sure they are equal and round. Call your doctor if your child vomits more than three times in 24 hours, becomes disoriented or inactive, or complains of a headache or blurred vision.
Preventing Childhood Injuries
Remember, childhood injuries can be prevented if parents take a few minutes to childproof their home
